Monique Posadas

Monique is the Graduate Student Mentorship Network Specialist. She has been a student affairs professional for nearly a decade. Previously, she worked with the McNair Scholars Program at Cornell University and California State University, Fullerton. She is a Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER) certified facilitator.
Monique is currently a doctoral candidate in the School of Educational Studies at Claremont Graduate University (CGU), with a research focus on minoritized graduate student success. She received her MA in Cultural Anthropology from Syracuse University and an MA in Education from CGU. She served on the Board of Directors (BOD) of the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE) as the Graduate Student Member-at-Large from 2021 to 2025. She is currently an AAHHE Graduate Student Fellow.
Monique’s husband is a UCR doctoral candidate, and they are proud parents of an eight-year-old child named Citlali.
